Network Architect / Team Lead (m/f/d)

Your mission
  • Network Installation and Support: Install, configure, and support network environments using technologies such as Extreme Networks, Cisco, and Fortinet, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Firewall Management: Install, configure, and provide ongoing support for firewalls, including Fortigate and Cisco, ensuring the protection of network infrastructure from threats and unauthorized access.
  • Design and Administration: Design, implement, and administer customer network environments, tailoring solutions to meet specific client needs and ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience.
  • Second-Level IT Support: Act as 2nd Level IT Support for local field services, providing expert assistance, troubleshooting complex network issues, and maintaining seamless operations.
  • Ability to lead a team of 6-8 team members.
  • Focus on automating networking tasks with Infrastructure-as-Code, Ansible, Terraform, SND, Cloud Network, Network Fabric
  • Focus on Security (Zero Trust, Identity-based Access)
  • Network Monitoring and Administration: Monitor and administer local network environments, proactively identifying potential issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring secure network operations.
  • Incident Management: Efficiently manage, document, and resolve incidents using the Jira ticketing system, ensuring accurate tracking, timely resolution, and communication of network-related issues.
  • Network Optimization and Upgrades: Continuously assess network performance and implement upgrades or optimization strategies, including firmware updates, hardware replacements, and software patches.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures, and generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure, ensuring that backup and recovery procedures are tested and effective in restoring services after a failure.
  • Network Audit and Compliance Checks: Conduct regular network audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • International Team Collaboration: Collaborate with an international IT team, contributing to cross-border projects and ensuring cohesive network management and support across global operations.
  • Standby Participation: Participate in standby duties.
Your profile
  • More than 5 years of experience as network engineer, ideally within an international setup
  • First experience in leading function is considered as a plus
  • Certifications for Network devices like CISCO-CCNA, Fortinet or Extreme Certified Associate
  • Experiences in administration of phone systems.(Not required but advantageous)
  • Good knowledge central managed networks systems and environment
  • Experience in Automatization of Networks 
  • Technical documentation skills
  • Proficient/Good in English and Dutch skills both spoken and written.
  • Ability to travel internationally (10% - 20%)
