Purpose of the job
The commissioning technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on the client's site. They ensure the compliance of processes and the proper application of safety, hygiene, security, and quality standards before transferring operational responsibility of the system to the client.
Description of Key Activities
• Carry out maintenance and minor repairs on standard products at the customer's site
• Analyze and provide solutions to technical problems on standard products at the customer's site
• Perform on-site interventions / resolve issues as quickly as possible
• Ensure follow-up on actions and commitments made to the customer
• Write the service report
• Update the customer intervention tracking system with relevant information
• Report risky situations, incidents, and continuous improvement work
• Update the installed base and report potential leads and opportunities
• Provide technical support to internal teams
Participate in the development of technical expertise
• Assist in the preparation of assignments by reviewing project-related documents (contract, specifications, installation plans, etc.) as well as technical specifications (equipment and processes) prior to the intervention.
• Participate in defining schedules and organizing the different phases of commissioning installations based on the collected data.
• Verify that the installation assembled on-site complies with the specifications outlined in the documents and provide technical support to the client to fix any malfunctions in collaboration with the support service manager.
• Conduct a series of tests on the installations to ensure the proper functioning of the system.
• Assess the extent of any deviations from technical specifications, propose and implement corrective actions.
• Visit construction sites to supervise the installation of equipment.
Mission monitoring
• Provide regular and weekly reports on the progress of the commissioning and send them internally and/or to the client.
• Write operational manuals for the installation for the operators.
• Sign the installation acceptance report acknowledging the client's takeover and the transfer of responsibility for its operation.
Managing a partnership relationship with clients
• Maintain a trusting relationship with clients by adapting to different contacts based on their technical knowledge, as well as the location of the assignment, and provide an advisory role to clients.
Frequent travel expected (Île-de-France and northern France) + company vehicle + per diem + remote work (depending on schedule and organization)
