Your mission

As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will own and continuously improve Telio’s end-to-end delivery flow.
You will ensure our engineering teams deliver secure, high-quality releases in a predictable, scalable, and increasingly continuous way—while guiding the organization toward modern DevOps and high-performance engineering practices.
This role is not about building pipelines—it’s about enabling the system that makes fast, reliable delivery possible.

Your profile

Duties and responsibilities

Release Orchestration & Alignment

  • Drive and coordinate cross-team release planning and execution
  • Ensure alignment across engineering, product, QA, and DevOps
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines
  • Improve release transparency, predictability, and quality
Flow Optimization & DevOps Excellence
  • Track and improve DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, change failure rate)
  • Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous flow improvements
  • Enable smaller, more frequent, lower-risk releases
  • Promote modern practices like trunk-based development and incremental delivery
Platform & Architecture Enablement
  • Surface architectural constraints impacting delivery speed
  • Collaborate with architecture and platform teams to improve delivery performance
  • Ensure release processes evolve alongside platform and cloud strategy
  • Support alignment across distributed, hybrid, and microservices environments
Quality, Risk & Reliability
  • Strengthen release governance and quality gates
  • Oversee deployment readiness and post-release learnings
  • Improve stability, observability, and risk management practices
Culture & Transformation
  • Act as a catalyst for DevOps and engineering culture evolution
  • Coach teams toward ownership, accountability, and continuous delivery
  • Drive the shift from large releases to confidence-driven continuous deployment
  • Increase transparency through data-driven engineering insights

You will operate across a complex and mission-critical ecosystem:
  • Core Platforms: Telephony (PSTN), VoIP, supervision & compliance systems
  • Digital Services: Messaging, video, financial services, AI-enabled features
  • Architecture: Microservices, distributed systems
  • Environment: Hybrid infrastructure with Azure-first cloud strategy

Required Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

  • 7+ years in engineering, DevOps, or delivery leadership
  • Proven experience coordinating cross-team releases
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Experience with DORA metrics and performance-driven engineering
  • Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and hybrid environments
  • Strong systems-thinking and flow optimization mindset
  • Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills
  • Fluent English
Advantage:
  • Experience in scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe)
  • Background in mission-critical or regulated environments
  • Exposure to Azure or hybrid cloud setups
  • Experience supporting DevOps or platform transformations
  • Experience working with distributed teams
